Neighboring Tip of the Week - Check on a neighbor’s pet.

52 Weeks of Neighboring

Neighboring Tip of the Week  Check on a neighbor’s pet.

Good afternoon, friends! We hope your holiday season has been so joyful and that your 2022 is off to a wonderful start!

Well, it’s a new year, and with it, this year’s 52 Weeks of Neighboring is off to a fresh start! Instead of picking up this week with Week 48, we have decided to reset our tips in order to align them with this year’s calendar, so this week is now Week 2. Because one theme that’s cropping up for us at The Neighboring Movement in 2022 is simple! Along with simplifying our format, we also plan to simplify the neighboring tips themselves. With this added simplicity, we hope that you might be even more encouraged to experiment with these neighboring experiments. Neighboring is so simple and yet so so transformative. Let’s take these simple, transformative actions! Let’s be good neighbors!

So, as this year’s second, simple neighboring tip, we encourage you to check on a neighbor’s pet! Now that temperatures are a bit more winter-like, outdoor pets require a bit more care. Water bowls freeze, shelters blow over, chicken feet freeze to metal surfaces, etc. This week, let’s all take the simple action of checking on our neighbor’s pets as they brave these colder temperatures.

Happy neighboring! Use our hashtags #NeighboringWins #NeighboringICT if you share a neighboring win.

And P.S. Welcome to the next chapter of the 52 Weeks of Neighboring – Year 6! Wild! Thank you, as always, for journeying with us. Just to reiterate, as well, we want to learn from you! We would love to hear from you as you experiment with any of these tips, so please feel free to get in touch with us. Visit us at 1200 S Broadway, Wichita, KS 67211, or give us a call at 316-619-4940!
