Neighboring Tip of the Week - Check in with your neighbors around the holidays.

Happy holidays, friends!

We know it’s a really busy season for many, but this week, we would encourage you to make time to check in with a neighbor or two. We regularly present this tip around the holidays because we think these check-ins - especially around the holidays - are super meaningful for our neighbors. These special days are often super fun and celebratory for our neighbors, plus the perfect excuse to knock on their door or ring their doorbell, but they also can often present grief for those whose loved ones have passed on in the last year or around this time. So, we would simply encourage you to go check in with a neighbor this holiday season!

This check-in might look like bringing a neighbor a holiday treat, or it might look like bringing them a sympathy card. Additionally, you don’t have to bring them anything! Simply making the space to intentionally listen to and have a conversation with them is a gift in and of itself. However this looks for you and your context, your neighbor is sure to appreciate the check in and your thoughtfulness. And, if you can spread some holiday cheer, that goes a long way!
