Show that you care today!
We Care ICT is on a mission to create a social movement centered on joy, relationships, and abundance by discovering, connecting, and mobilizing the gifts of our neighbors. To do this, we need 80,000 Wichitans to commit to being a good neighbor by joining the We Care Team.
Being a good neighbor is simple, and everyone can participate. All you have to do is take the We Care Pledge and display your free We Care yard or door sign!
When you join the We Care Team, you commit to being a connector in your neighborhood. We’ll even teach you how to do it with our 8 Front Doors Challenge! It’s a breeze to do: meet the neighbors closest to you, identify their unique skills and talents, and engage with them regularly.
These simple steps help us all be active, caring, and responsible neighbors and community members, working together to build thriving communities right in our backyard.

We’re so glad you asked! When we have meaningful relationships with our neighbors, we foster trust, safety, and a sense of community. Learning about our neighbors’ strengths and passions also helps build supportive communities right where we live, so we can leverage them to create thriving spaces.

It takes approximately 20% of a community to invest in a movement to see cultural change. If 80,000 Wichitans commit to being good neighbors, display yard signs, and complete the 8 Front Doors Challenge, we can significantly reduce isolation and loneliness, which in turn will lead to decreased crime, improved education, and more fulfilling neighborhoods.

We wanted to find a way to make caring visible to everyone. What better way to do that than with a yard sign or door hanger? By displaying a We Care sign, you’re helping make caring visible in our community and telling your neighbors that you want to be connected.
To pickup your free yard or door sign you can stop by The Neighboring Movement's office at 1200 S Broadway. Please email hello@neighboringmovement.org to coordinate a pickup time.

The 8 Front Doors Challenge is a step-by-step guide to meet the 8 neighbors closest to you and then host a small gathering for these neighbors. You’ll learn about their strengths, passions, and discover new insights about your neighborhood as a whole!

Not at all! The first step, and what can be your only step, is receiving a FREE yard or door sign. You are still showing your neighbors that you care. If that is all you have capacity for, that is where you can stop!
