Key Ingredients of Neighboring

A four-week sermon series and small group study

Welcome to the Key Ingredients of Neighboring (KIN)!

We are thrilled that you and your church are participating in the Good Neighbor Experiment! Before attending Workshop 1, we strongly encourage churches to do some prep work. Below you will find three outlined options that you can choose from. The three choices vary depending on how much time you have, how involved you want your entire congregation to be, and if you have your Neighboring team recruited or not. If you have any questions, give our office a call at 316-619-4940.

  • Option 1: All Church Sermon Series

This option is for churches who want their entire congregation to be aware of the work of neighboring from the beginning of the GNE OR if you are still needing to discern who should be a part of your neighboring team. As a part of the GNE, you have access to the “Key Ingredients of Neighboring” worship bundle which includes a 4-week worship series guide, 4-week Sunday school material (for participants and leaders), and worship slides which you can find below.

  • Option 2: Host a 4 Week Small Group

This option is for churches that want to explore the GNE with a small group that will serve as your Neighboring Team. Perhaps this group is an existing Sunday school class or small group, or a group hand-picked by church leadership to engage with the work of neighboring. Regardless, this Neighboring team will prepare for Workshop 1 by going through the Key Ingredients of Neighboring material that lasts four weeks. Download the participant and leader guide below.

  • Option 3: Host a Catch-All Meeting

This option is for churches that don’t have as much time to prepare for Workshop 1. That’s okay! We have an abbreviated preparation for churches that would only require one meeting before Workshop 1. Prior to this meeting, we ask that you send the participants guide to each person on your Neighboring team and encourage them to read it before the meeting. Then, as the leader, you have the opportunity to use the abbreviated guide below to prepare your team:
