Neighboring Tip of the Week - Attend a community event.

Here at The Neighboring Movement, we often talk about hosting block parties or neighborhood get togethers, and yet, there’s often an even simpler opportunity right in front of us - attending them! That’s right…hosting a neighborhood gathering is awesome but so is attending one!

This neighboring tip carries with it a deeper element - that often, many of the things we want to foster in our neighborhoods are already taking place, on some scale, right around us. So, instead of starting something, we often have the invitation to simply join something!

And, this might come as such a relief! Perhaps this is a busy season for you at work? Or, perhaps you don’t yet feel comfortable hosting a neighborhood get together? That’s okay! This week, we would encourage you to simply investigate community events your neighborhood already has going on or coming up in the near future. And then, when the time comes, simply join in!

Attending community events is not only a fantastic way to meet other neighbors but also to learn more about what’s happening in your neighborhood. We would invite you to join in the fun!

Happy Neighboring!
