Result: Neighborhood Explorer!
Congratulations! You’re a Neighborhood Explorer. Below you will find helpful ways that you can grow in our ingredients of neighboring: relationship, abundance, and joy!
-
Joy
We believe Joy is what happens when you understand yourself and your role in your community. A great way to understand when you are living joyfully is to reflect on the highs and lows of your day. Try this mini-experiment:
Grab a piece of paper and write down everything you did in the last 24 hours. Identify the highs and lows of your day. Put a star by the highs and an “X” by the lows. What patterns or trends did you notice?

Relationship
We believe neighborly relationships are created when you give care to and receive care from the people who live near you. Here is a mini-experiment to get you started:
Ask a neighbor for help or to borrow something. It is often easier to give care than to receive it. Asking for help provides a neighbor with an opportunity to give care. Here are some ideas you could use: ask for help moving something, borrow a tool, ask for an ingredient in a recipe, or ask a neighbor to watch your home while you are traveling. Be sure to write a thank you card after you receive help!

Abundance
We believe abundance starts with a focus on individual strengths, talents, interests, and skills; we call these gifts. A great way to start with an abundance focus is to notice something your neighbor does well. Try this mini-experiment:
Pay attention to something your neighbor does well or a hobby they have. Then ask them about how they learned to do that thing. Does your neighbor have a great garden? Do they grill out often? Maybe they have great holiday decorations. Ask them about it and see why they love what they love!
