What We Did in September - Community Animator Network

We’ve had such an eventful September here at The Neighboring Movement! Our Animators have been going at it nonstop, and we are so excited to highlight what they’ve been up to.

Karen hosted a Hispanic Heritage Festival at our local park here in SoCe! She invited young people to host tables from KHEDF, West High Halo, and Somos First-Gen. There were folklorico dancers, a local band, and a taco truck to boot. It was such a joyous celebration!

Les had his ribbon cutting for the daycare grand opening in Florence, KS. Thank you to our executive director, Adam, who snapped these shots!

More highlights from other Animators:

  • Ari’s organization, Wichita Earth Crew, held a Game Night on September 7

  • The work of Emily and Selena’s Somos First-Gen group was featured by KSN!

  • Sandrine (can you spot her in the photos?) had her multicultural bazaar earlier in the month.

September was great to us all. Can’t wait to see what these Animators do next month!!
