Neighboring Tip of the Week - Share with your neighbor any upcoming free neighborhood or community events.

Happy November, friends!

This week’s neighboring tip is all about connecting. We think that sometimes, being a good neighbor simply looks like communicating with our neighbors about neighborhood happenings and connecting them with resources we know about. So this week, we would encourage you to think, “Are there any upcoming block parties, neighborhood-wide events, or community events I’ve heard about or am planning on going to that my neighbor(s) might also appreciate knowing about or going to?” If so, we would encourage you to share about these with your neighbor(s)! Maybe you’re already planning to attend one and simply invite a neighbor along?

This time of year there are often lots of outdoor neighborhood and community events taking place before the weather turns too cold. Whether they’re in neighborhood gathering spaces or neighborhood organizations or institutions, sharing these opportunities with neighbors helps both the hosting place and the neighborhood as a whole. Most of all, these events are fantastic spaces to connect with neighbors and learn more about neighborhood happenings!

Happy neighboring!
