TNM First Annual Friendsgiving!
Easily one of my most favorite pastimes is finding a good excuse to gather friends, eat good food, and play card games (I’ll have you know, I’m very selectively competitive). That said, throwing a Neighboring Movement Alumni Friendsgiving seemed like a no-brainer! A couple weeks back, folks from across our programs gathered at our office to share delectable dishes, swap stories, and compete in minute-to-win-it games for some of our covered TNM tote bags (they have zippers!). The self-proclaimed ‘Dominators’ stole the show and outstripped the competition, thanks in large part to alum Felicita, who has very impressive minute-to-win-it game skills.
I continue to be incredibly grateful for the people that I’ve met through our programs this past year. Our TNM alumni bring us so much joy, and I continue to be mildly overwhelmed by their abundant generosity, shown by their willingness to invest in our relationships and the gifts they continue to share with us. Creating new traditions is an excellent way to collectively bond folks together, and I look forward to next year when we throw the Second Annual TNM Friendsgiving!
Happy Neighboring, Y’all, and Happy Thanksgiving!
