What We Did in May - Community Animator Network

May has come and gone! This past month our newest community builder, Karen Kasten, hosted the Neighborfest in her neighborhood park!

Kenneth from Backyard Kitchen using their skills to whip up pancakes, waffles and more for Neighborfest!

On May 14th, fifty plus community members gathered at Lincoln Park to enjoy a free breakfast during the Neighborfest. Local Chef, Kenneth, of Backyard Kitchen prepared waffles, pancakes, and sausage for attendees.

The Neighborfest created opportunity for neighbors to meet each other, learn about local associations, vendors, and spend time connecting over conversation, food, and music!

Those plates look Yummy! We’re ready for the next event and more food from Kenneth!

Located in our founding SoCe neighborhood, Karen’s hope for the Lincoln Park Project is to revitalize the neighborhood park and bring back joy and the presence of relationships in the space.

We’re so blessed to have individuals, like Karen, willing to take action to connect the amazing resources and people that already exist in our communities.
